But our story is fabulous and we both wanted you to hear it.
I am known to you as "ruthi713" - I was a member of Make Friends Online in 2006, and after a long period of divorce and living in Spain I decided to return to the UK (North London) for a year. I had been a member of different sites for over 5 years in Spain and never seemed to find that special someone that I wanted to share my life with. After many attempts I gave up, until one day whilst in London you sent me an introductory email, and I thought I had nothing to lose.
Well after a few months of chatting to various men and meeting interesting ones, but still to no avail, you sent me an email with possible matches, and little did I know that this email would change my life forever... I had never wanted to meet men from Scotland, thinking that they were too far away and that I would never understand what they were talking about! But in this particular email I saw someone that really caught my eye. He is known to you as "life of reilly", a name which was interesting to me since I have a particular love of life, travelling music and cultures.
I must admit that when I opened his profile I was not caught by the photograph, as even though he was very handsome, he had turned up the colour so much that I thought he had been on a sunbed for over a year! But I did read on and his comments made me laugh, and he seemed to have the same interests as me, so I sent him a wink. Thinking well he is a tennis coach, he most probably has more women lined up than hot dinners, I left it and forgot all about him.
Days later I received an email from him, which was very interesting. He had already travelled around a lot and he had lived in Turkey, Germany and France, so he was used to different cultures. And me being of Portuguese, Spanish and Cuban descent, I thought I might interest him.
To cut a long story short, I can tell you that since that first encounter on your site, we have not only decided to live together in London after a month of meeting on the internet, but we have now been living in Spain for over a year. We both have wonderful jobs in Real Estate and we know that we are a gift to each other. We wanted to thank you very much for your site, and after all Rod would not have joined if it hadn't been for his brother telling him about it.
We are very much in love, we adore where we live and we know for a fact that we would have never ever had met if it had not been for MAKE FRIENDS ONLINE - it is a brilliant site.
